The little Momo is not just for kids anymore! Today is a very exciting day for me. I released my first women’s sweater pattern, Momo. I don’t know why I waited so long, really it is just like designing a kid’s pattern, just bigger with an extra consideration (or two) to keep in mind. Not too long ago, I released Momo for the Malabrigo Sock yarn Design contest. Almost immediately, I had many people contact me about upsizing the Little Momo for adults. Well, the more I thought about it, the more I liked that idea. Of course, I wanted to make some modifications to make it “grown up”.
I lengthened the sleeves and made them more fitted. I also did away with the opening around the neck. I also added optional waist shaping. Now, when I knit my Momo(which I am totally planning on), I will skip the waist shaping because you know it’s not what I’d want to accentuate. But, my lovely model (my daughter) has no problems with waist shaping!
I put up a notice on my group that the pattern is published. I also put in a note to see if anyone is interested in a KAL. I could definitely do one if there is interest. So, if you would like this just stop by and post. I am sure we could make it fun with a few random giveaways. I am planning another giveaway later this week in my group. So definitely stop by and say hello!
My daughter being silly!
Tammy is the winner of the this blog giveaway! I am planning to do one more before the end of March! So, make sure you stop by soon. I will also most likely be ready for a pattern release late next week! Yay!
Woohoo! Gave away some more Malabrigo this week. It will be headed on it’s way tomorrow to rwest81(ravelry). Congratulations! I am putting up a new giveaway today. Enter this giveaway by commenting in the comments telling me what your favorite DIC colorway is. And if you don’t have one, let me know which of my patterns is your favorite. If you don’t have one of those, well then, I don’t know what to say! The prizes this week are a skein of DIC Baby in Punky Fuchsia and a small black sheep notions pouch from Frabjous Fibers(pictured below). I will pick the winner next Wednesday, the 16th!
I am working on several new designs. I have some with test knitters and I hope to get that one out before the end of March. I am also knitting up a secret sample and a lace shawl sample! Woo Hoo. I have also cast on a test knit for a fellow junkie. So, fear not. I am working away and will definitely be getting out some new patterns soon!
PS: My favorite DIC Colorways are Green Lantern and Basalt(an Everlasting line color).
Malabrigo March has kicked off and is off and running in the Malabrigo Junkies forum on Ravelry. If you haven’t yet, you should check it out. To celebrate Malabrigo March, I had a little giveaway earlier this week. Winner of a skein of yarn and pattern was AlwaysALady(ravelry). Woo Hoo! Congratulations. She chose the Kinsale pattern and a skein of Malabrigo Dos.
As promised, I am having another giveaway. Same rules, stop by my ravelry group here and join, and say hello in the Welcome thread. You will automatically be entered to win the yarn that I have for you this week. It has been SO much fun meeting all the new people stopping by. It’s so neat to meet all these new people! So, for this week’s giveaway I have either 2 skeins of orchid worsted(from last week) or 2 skeins of marron oscuro silky(Malabrigo’s picture of it below).
So stop by and say hello! You never know, you could win it.
